The ČSM Mine located in Stonava is the last active coal mine in Czechia. The mining operations has begun in 1965.

The mine comprises the ČSM North and ČSM South plants and the ČSM North processing plant The mine fields of the ČSM Mine are located in the cadastres of the municipalities of Stonava, Karviná, Albrechtice and Chotěbuz. The annual output of the mine is around 2.5 million tonnes of hard coal. Since 2022, the production has been reduced to 1.3 million tonnes of hard coal.
