Ferriera Valsabbia Odolo steel plant is a 900 thousand tonnes per annum (TTPA) electric arc furnace (EAF) steel plant operating in Odolo, Province of Brescia, Italy.
Ferriera Valsabbia has not limited itself to evolving internally, but has been able to look beyond by investing, since the 90s, in the entire production and commercial chain: from the procurement of raw materials to the valorisation of residues.
Ecoacciai , Pontenossa and Vergomasco, companies of the Valsabbia Investimenti Group, support the iron and steel business in all its phases.
July 2022, NEW BRIDGE CRANE
During the summer break, the necessary repairs and maintenance were carried out to environments and machinery both in the steel mill and in the rolling mill.
For the general improvement of the warehouse in Odolo, a new ALMICI CARPENTERIA bridge crane was installed , again with SGM Magnetics lifting magnets.
Capacity 11t + 11t.

Full description
The former rolling mill called “Laminatoio Valsabbia” in the mountain reagion of Odolo was established in 1954 by group of local enterpreteurs. In 1963 the mill was renamed as “Ferriera Valsabbia”, rolling of steel bars is still dependent on ingot supply from other steel plants nearby.
The first electric arc furnace was built here in 1968, secondary metalurgy followed in 1971.
The rolling mill was completely modernized in 2008 and the electric steel shop in 2011 with new arc furnace with capacity of 80 tonnes.
