The enterprise "TMK - Yartsevsky Metzavod" is a modern foundry and rolling complex for the production of long products with a capacity of more than 300 thousand tons per year. The main types of products are fittings and continuously cast billet for rerolling. The enterprise is provided with convenient transport communications, developed engineering and energy infrastructure. The plant uses modern and environmentally efficient systems for gas cleaning and recirculating water supply.

The mini-mill in Yartsevo is located in Smolensk region and was founded in 1987 as a subsidiary plant of ZIL company. It was named “Dvigatel AMO ZIL”, but known as “Zavod Gigant” for its size. The production was focused on the manufacture and assembly of diesel engines. Difficult property-legal situation in the late 90´s shutdown the mill and ceased the production temporarily.
It was reopened again in 2003. Within main halls brand new steel mill with 35 tonnes electric arc furnace, two-strands continuous caster and rods rolling mill for construction use was put into operation here. The mill employs over 1.500 workers.
