s part of the celebration of the 175th anniversary of HUTA ŁABĘDY SA, a number of events were organized in which our employees took part:
"Family Metallurgical Festival" on April 22 this year. There were many attractions waiting for the children of the employees of Huta and its subsidiaries, including games, inflatables, football tournaments, refreshments, etc.
Holy Mass in the intention of our metallurgical family, for the intercession of st. Floriana in the intention of the living and deceased employees and retirees of Huta Łabędy and their families, which took place on May 7 this year. in the church of St. George in Gliwice-Łabędy. With the Holy Mass, we inaugurated the solemn celebration of the 175th anniversary of Huta Łabędy combined with the celebration of the Steelworker's Day.

This plant produces the following type of products:
Metal processing in town of Łabędy is dating back to 1848 when “Huta Hermina” (Herminenhütte) was established. In first decades the works were focused on non-ferrous metals processing mostly.
Increasing military needs made the plant even larger in 1938 – new open-hearth steel mill and forge were put into operation. Middle-section and universal rolling mill followed by 1948. In 1950 the works were renamed as “Huta Łabędy”, production focused on hot rolled products for mining industry.
Since 1998 “Huta Łabędy” further continues with this tradition of hot rolled products as a private company.
