KWK Siltech Zabrze
The mine "SILTECH" is the first private coal mine in Poland. It began operations in 2002. In the same year, after 6 months, the first ton of this raw material was mined. The main scope of activity is the mining of hard coal and its sale to domestic customers. ZG SILTECH's offer also includes conducting general mining works.

Full description
Between 1854 and 1856 the mining field named “Hedwigswunsch” was opened. After 1945 the mine was called “Hedwig” until 1948, when renamed named in honor of Vincent Pstrowski. The coal mine was expanded in the 1970s to include the “Rokitnica”, “Mikulczyce” and “Ludwik Concordia” pits. The mine was shutdown in 2000, but in 2002 exploitation of the “Pstrowski” deposits began again, this time by Jan Chojnacki’s private company Siltech.
