Lorinci Plate Mill Budapest
ISD Dunaferr Dunaújváros steel plant, also known as Dunaferr Nagyolvasztó és Konverteres Acélgyártómű and Danube Ironworks (predecessor), is a 1600 thousand tonnes per annum (TTPA) blast furnace (BF) and basic oxygen furnace (BOF) steel plant operating in Dunaújváros, Fejér, Hungary.
Hungarian Dunaferr plans to resume rolling mills in July
he liquidator has established two companies to sell assets during the liquidation process – Dunarolling for the rolling lines and Duna Furnace for the coke operations. This has sparked talk that the assets may be partially split. However, sources say they will be in one package, with only metals trader Dutrade and smaller assets separated.

Full description
The plate rolling mill Lorinci located on Budapest suburb was founded in 1949 as a separate factory.
In 1963 the mill was merged with recently established metalurgical combine “Duna Vasmü”, lately known as “Dunaferr”. After the privatization the rolling mill became part of ISD group in 2007 as its oldest working unit.
Despite of protest the mill was definitely shutdown in December 2012.
