Full description
One of the biggest european steelworks ThyssenKrupp Schwelgern was activated in 1973. Gigantic combine is covering 17,5 hectares of land and its two high-capacity blast furnaces with capacity over 4000 cubic meters are listed among the world´s largest.
In full operation more then 20 freight trains of sinter, ore, coke and coal are transformed into pig iron every day. Within its 30 years of history ironworks on the bank of river Rhine produced over 83 millions tons of steel.
